Privacy and data use
Privacy Policy
Effective September 3, 2026
Curèpe uses the information families provide to coordinate carpools, protect participants, and deliver requested account, ride, and schedule communications. We do not sell personal information.
1. Who we are
Curèpe is a carpool coordination service operated by Marescaux Technologies, Inc. This policy explains how Curèpe collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use the Curèpe website, application, and messaging services.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Curèpe, we may collect:
- Account information, such as your name, email address, verified mobile number, and the families and carpools your account is authorized to access.
- Carpool information, such as rider first names, guardian and driver information, vehicle capacity and description, availability, ride assignments, pickup and drop-off information, and participation acknowledgments.
- Schedule and communication information, including weekly attendance, ride needs, scheduling instructions, consent records, and messages you exchange with Curèpe.
- Technical and security information, such as browser and device details, approximate network information, sign-in and security events, diagnostic records, and product usage events.
3. How we use information
We use information to:
- authenticate users and administer family and carpool access;
- create schedules, assign drivers and riders, identify coverage needs, and coordinate active rides;
- send requested account notices, ride updates, schedule information, and other operational communications;
- prevent misuse, investigate security events, maintain audit records, and comply with applicable obligations; and
- measure and improve Curèpe using aggregated or appropriately limited product analytics.
4. How information is disclosed
Curèpe limits disclosure to what is reasonably necessary for carpool coordination and service operation:
- Authorized carpool participants. Limited information may be visible to authenticated members of the same carpool. Home addresses are limited to assigned drivers when needed to coordinate a ride.
- Service providers. Infrastructure, authentication, communications, security, and support vendors may process information for Curèpe under instructions and restrictions that prohibit using it for their own marketing.
- Safety and legal needs. We may disclose information when reasonably necessary to protect users, investigate misuse, comply with law, or respond to valid legal process.
- Business changes. Information may be transferred as part of a merger, financing, acquisition, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate confidentiality and data-protection safeguards.
Mobile information, text-messaging originator opt-in data, and messaging consent will not be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. We do not sell or rent mobile numbers or SMS consent records. Communications providers may process this information only as needed to deliver and operate Curèpe messaging.
5. SMS messaging
Curèpe SMS programs are optional. Message frequency varies based on your requests, ride activity, and schedule changes. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out of a messaging program or HELP for help. Opting out of optional SMS does not prevent you from using the core Curèpe application. See the Curèpe Terms of Service for details.
6. Data retention
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide Curèpe, maintain safety and audit records, resolve disputes, and satisfy legal or operational requirements. Retention periods vary by data type and context. Information may be deleted, de-identified, or aggregated when it is no longer needed.
7. Security
Curèpe uses administrative, technical, and organizational safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, encryption in transit, limited role- and ride-based access, and security event monitoring. No system can guarantee absolute security.
8. Riders and children
Adult parents or guardians manage family and rider information. Curèpe is not intended for a child to create an independent general-purpose account.
9. Your choices
You may update profile information and optional messaging choices from Curèpe. You may also request access, correction, or deletion where applicable. Some records may be retained when required for security, compliance, or dispute resolution.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as Curèpe changes. We will revise the effective date and provide additional notice when appropriate. Material changes to an optional messaging program may require renewed consent.
